Volunteer Opportunity: Support Exciting Community Projects at Teviot Community Centre, Poplar, East London
We’re the Teviot Community Centre, a vibrant hub nestled in the heart of Teviot Estate, Poplar, East London. Our mission is to foster a strong sense of community by offering a wide array of projects and events that cater to all our members, from over 50s social clubs to gardening workshops and festive community events.
We’re currently on the lookout for volunteers who can support us in carrying out these diverse community projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of our community members, bringing them together and enhancing their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with a range of community projects and events
- Being an approachable and friendly face for all our community members
- Supporting the centre in raising awareness on projects and sessions available to the community
Requirements:
- A friendly, positive, and flexible attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Enjoys working with a diverse range of people
- Passionate about supporting and enhancing community life
- Able to commit a few hours per week to support our projects
